Eaglebald Portrait Exhibition - Entry Information

We welcome your portrait

Whether you are an established artist, an emerging creative or a school pupil, you are warmly invited to enter the Eaglebald Portrait Exhibition. We celebrate portraiture in many styles and media, and look forward to sharing the faces, stories and perspectives of our community. Please read the entry requirements below so we can present every work safely and fairly.

Who can enter and what to submit

  • The artwork must be a portrait of one or more people.

  • The portrait must be an original artwork. A wide variety of artistic media is welcome.

  • The portrait must not have been exhibited at a previous Eaglebald art show.

Artwork size and presentation

  • For general entries, the portrait must be no larger than 1 × 1 metre, including the frame.

  • School pupils are welcome to exhibit portraits on A4 paper. These entries do not need to be framed or fitted with hanging hardware.

  • All other portraits must be dry, ready to display, and fitted with D-hooks and/or hanging wire.

Important dates and collection

  • Please submit your entry and deliver your artwork by the advertised closing dates. Check the entry form or event listing for the confirmed dates before making delivery arrangements.

  • Artwork may be collected on 2 or 3 April 2027. Two collection dates are available because the exhibition may remain open for an extended period.

Exhibition, sales and judging

  • The exhibition is limited to 100 portraits, so early entry is encouraged.

  • Any sale is arranged directly between the artist and the purchaser.

  • We review every entry against these requirements. If an artwork cannot be exhibited because it does not meet them, the entry fee cannot be refunded.

  • The judges’ decision is final.
